Creative Writing Coach
Anne-E. Wood coaches both new and experienced writers. She provides close reading and honest feedback and guides new writers through the creative process. Many of her students have gone on to publish their own works of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, and to pursue MFA degrees in prestigious programs. She also coaches students who need help with their personal statements, cover letters, or college essays.
Are you looking to reinvigorate your classroom with the energy and creativity of a professional writer? Anne-E. Wood has over ten years of experience teaching writing and theater to young people in the classroom and in after-school programs. Her young students have ranged from fourth graders in Chinese immersion schools to teenage youth in the juvenile justice system. She is available for one-day visits as well as longer residencies. During her tenure as the Associate Artistic Director of Performing Arts Workshop San Francisco, she wrote and published two curriculum guides that highlight strategies for teaching critical thinking to youth through the arts. They are available at the Resource Center.
